Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring robotics, ortho, and urology experience along with regular call coverage.

• Active FL or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience in the operating room specialty
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Robotics, orthopedic, and urology surgical experience required
• Experience in other surgical specialties preferred, excluding eyes, hearts, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

• Operating room setting performing scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures
• 4x10-hour shifts, , with varying days off based on OR needs and call schedule
• Call required 4-5 times per month, including at least one weekend day, with 24-hour call shifts from  and a 30-minute callback time
• Day off typically follows a call shift when possible, otherwise determined by departmental need
• Responsible for scrubbing and circulating duties, patient admission to the operative suite, and adherence to aseptic technique standards
• Collaborates with the surgical team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
• Serves as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the surgical team
• Prepares the operating room, assembles equipment and supplies, and ensures all instruments and implants are functional and available
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
