Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establishing retailer relationships while acting as the face of Hallmark. You'll collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00 to $16.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 10 - 14 hours per week.
  • Availability before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for communication, reporting, feedback, and surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Holiday support:
    During seasonal peaks (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) you may work additional days, extended hours, or on the holidays themselves.
  • Department resets:
    Assist with installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. You’ll be notified at least two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
Physical Requirements

Work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms. Push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday; climb stairs and step ladders as required.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Proficient with a digital handheld device for reading documents and interpreting information.
  • Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
  • Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Part‑time employees with a work schedule less than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity and minimum essential coverage.
