The PositionAs the Team Leader of Loss Prevention, you will:
- Awareness & Prevention:
- Communicate, train, and educate on security and loss prevention programs and strategies.
- Encourage open communication so team members, donors, and customers stay safe.
- Support Goodwill’s drug‑free workplace and uphold core values.
- Represent zero tolerance for harassment, substance abuse, workplace violence, and theft.
- Develop and train on loss prevention and asset protection strategies to meet business needs.
- Facility Protection and Corporate Security:
- Investigate disturbances such as alarms, intrusions, fires, property damage, and other losses.
- Manage key and alarm control access, including vehicles, fobs, and assigned security equipment.
- Monitor facilities using video surveillance.
- Partnership:
- Partner with stakeholders and department leaders to close open cases promptly.
- Use the LP Support Helpdesk system to triage and resolve issues per SLA timelines.
- Monitor and report on digital video recording and operational issues.
- Respond to critical incidents and emergency situations.
- Training:
- Deliver training that achieves 100% customer satisfaction.
- Assist with new‑hire orientation and safety training.
- Provide leadership coaching on the field.
- Help develop loss prevention training courses.

- Ability to provide one‑on‑one and group training.
- Effective communication, decision making, and problem‑solving skills.

- Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, and interviewing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong public relations and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in digital platforms and systems, including RM/LP management and video systems.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding investigations and employee information.
- Build effective working relationships.
- 2–5 years of loss prevention/asset protection experience in a multi‑unit capacity—or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of CCTV, burglar, fire alarm maintenance/monitoring technical skills.
- LPQ/LPC, Wicklander‑Zulawski interview and interrogation, or other certification is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable personal transportation to travel across Goodwill territory; occasional use of company vehicles allowed.
- Availability for a flexible schedule—including days, nights, and weekends.
- Position is safety‑sensitive and requires drug testing.
- May require access to facility keys and alarm systems.
