At Lambert’s Cable, as a Copper Splicer, you’ll connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services by skillfully splicing and repairing connections.

- Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground, with guidance
- Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation
- Ensure all splicing meets strict customer and industry standards
- Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air
- Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
- Document work performed through daily production reports, marking up maps and keeping accurate material usage records
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum age 18 years
- Authorization to work in the United States
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record (no provisional)
- Must pass a DOT physical exam and receive a valid medical card
- Six months of copper splicing experience or one year in telecommunications industry
- Certified pole climber or ability to demonstrate pole climbing proficiency (preferred)
- Operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift >55 lbs
- Occasional work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse
