The Lake Club in Bradenton, FL is looking for a Full-Time Property Maintenance Specialist
.
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to support the daily upkeep and overall appearance of an exclusive private residential community. This is a hands-on role requiring a versatile, self-motivated professional with strong general maintenance and handyperson experience. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works independently across a wide range of tasks, and demonstrates a professional demeanor with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and exceptional resident service.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining the community’s high standards and ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in property maintenance, hospitality, or a related field
- Experience in luxury or high-end residential environments preferred.
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the community.
- Electrical troubleshooting and basic repairs, including landscape lighting, outlets, and fixtures.
- Carpentry work includes minor repairs, adjustments, and installations.
- Painting and surface preparation, including interior and exterior touch-ups.
- Basic irrigation repairs and adjustments (sprinkler heads, valves, controllers/timers)
- Pressure washing of sidewalks, buildings, amenities, and common areas.
- Assist with preventative and proactive maintenance programs.
- Assist with basic security gate repairs (swing gates, poles, related components)
- Clay tennis court maintenance
- Respond to common area-related maintenance requests and provide weekend coverage as scheduled.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and community management.
- Technical Skills
- General knowledge of electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic irrigation systems
- Strong handyperson skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problem-solve.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Experience using pressure washing equipment preferred.
- Soft Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Dependable, professional, and safety conscious.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and local building codes.
- Conduct routine safety checks on equipment and facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, repairs, and inventory using established systems (e.g., CMMS software).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Full-time, hourly position.
- Schedule includes weekends (specific schedule to be discussed).
