Construction Laborer

Job Description
Primary Function:
Work as a crew on various types of projects.

Duties include but are not limited to general labor work:

* Work with various crews performing general labor such as hand excavating, well pointing, concrete work, grade checking, clearing brush, location utilities, masonry work, installing silt fence and tree barricades, cleanup work, mowing, weed eating, cleaning out manholes and pipelines, cleaning equipment and tools, jack hammering concrete, pick-up trash, etc.

* Work in accordance with Company Safety Program and bring to the attention of the Foreman any safety violations or concerns.

* Monitor and ensure jobsite housekeeping.

* Secure jobsite for any nonworking periods, such as evening or week-ends.

* Check that equipment is parked in such a manner that protects vulnerable machines (small dozers, etc.) from potential theft.

* Also, make sure equipment is parked in areas easily accessible by the refueling personnel.

* Maintain all erosion control devices are in place and functioning properly.

* Monitor all signs and barricades and reset any devices that have been moved or knocked down.
