Responsible for the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across IMG Academy’s campus facilities. This position troubleshoots equipment issues, performs preventative maintenance, and responds to service requests to support daily campus operations.

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, air handlers, heat pumps, furnaces, ventilation systems, thermostats, and controls.

Perform routine and preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.

Adjust HVAC systems to maintain optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality across classrooms, offices, dorms, and common areas.

Diagnose system issues and make repairs or recommend replacement or major service needs.

Monitor system performance and assist in improving energy efficiency and sustainability practices.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment status.

Safely operate tools and testing equipment, and follow all school safety and environmental guidelines.

Collaborate with facilities and maintenance teams on repair schedules and larger building projects.

Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors and vendors.

Keep work areas organized, safe, and compliant with safety regulations.

Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all student‑athletes, team members, guests, contractors, and vendors.

Other duties as assigned by management.

• Valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one.
• Experience as an HVAC Technician; institutional, commercial, or school environment experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Certification or training in HVAC systems preferred (EPA Universal Certification highly desired).
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality work.

• Ability to lift, carry, move, push and pull equipment or boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at high elevations.
• Ability to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
• Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces including grass, turf, courts, etc. in all weather.
• Ability to operate office equipment such as computers.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate equipment and tools.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
