Job Description
The Student Welderisresponsibleforinterpretingblueprints ,jobcards,billofmaterials,androutingsheets.
The Weldermustbeabletohandlecomplicationsinvolvingseveralvariableswhichvarybycustomizedorders.
The Weldermustbeabletoworkwithinpreciselimitsandwillworkbench,MIG,and/orTIGwelding(aluminumandsteel).
- Setupandassemblevariouscomponentsforwelding
- Setupmachineforwelding
- Weldaluminumcomponents(bench,MIG,TIG)
- Weldsteelcomponents(bench,MIG,TIG)
- Grind welds
- Maintainasafeandcleanworkenvironmentbycompliancewithprocedures,rules,and regulations
- Demonstrateeffectiveinterpersonalcommunicationskills
- Regularattendancerequired
- Allotherdutiesandresponsibilitiesthatareassigned
Currentlyenrolledintechnicalschoolinarelatedfield Preferred Qualifications to complete Essential Functions
- 6monthsormorerelatedexperience
- ProficientinMIGweldingonsteelandaluminumasdemonstratedbyanon-siteweldskillstest
- Abilitytoreadblueprints
- Demonstratedexperienceusingvarioussmallandpneumatichandtools
- Abilitytobuildorconstructproductpreferred
