General Labor

Responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials in accordance with all Company policies, procedures, and standards of operation. Responsible for working with other facility personnel to ensure the facility is operated and maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.

A Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. Responsibilities may include yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, office maintenance, and other related duties. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean up the site and all on-site equipment
• Perform yard work, including blowing the customer area and trash removal
• Operate general site equipment (blowers, pressure washers)
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
• Work overtime and rotate shifts as scheduled
• Participate in safety and health improvements in the workplace
• Attend all required company meetings, including weekly safety meetings
• Experience in a landfill, transfer station, or waste management is preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Be self-directed and work well in a team environment
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Additional requirements include completing safety, operational, and other training within scheduled time frames, and demonstrating effective communication and technical skills.

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months of related industrial experience; 2 years preferred

• Adequate vision and hearing to perform job functions safely
• Ability to operate tools and equipment
• Ability to carry up to 20 lbs and lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to squat, kneel, stand for extended periods, and walk outdoors

$17 - $18 hourly
