The Senior Staff Accountant – will have financial, audit, and process improvement responsibilities within the Finance team to include global audit support and accounting for all Finance projects. These may include audits/tax audits, investment accounting, reconciliations, GAAP compliance, quarterly EBITDA calculations, monthly Gainshare calculations, and quarterly financial statement review.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including GAAP.
2. Reconciling balance sheet accounts and bank statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
3. Managing the general ledger, including preparing journal entries, coding invoices, posting payments, and reconciling accounts.
4. Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
5. Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
6. Participating in financial audits, preparing necessary reports and documentation, and implementing recommended changes.
7. Working closely with other departments to improve financial procedures, develop forecasts, and optimize budgeting processes.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and changes in accounting rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Staff Accountant position, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accountant role, preferably within the tech services industry.
3. Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP and other applicable financial laws and regulations.
4. Proficiency in financial reporting, preparing financial statements, and managing general ledgers.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.

Experience with accounting software and systems is a plus.
