Job SummaryEnforces all state laws, seeks out illegal activity, responds to violations of law, and investigates suspicious activity. Patrols campus, manages traffic, makes lawful arrests, and testifies in legal proceedings.
Essential FunctionsEnsures public safety in a multicultural environment. Performs vehicular and foot patrol on university property, enforces criminal and traffic laws, protects persons and property, investigates crimes, completes police reports, testifies in court, and assists other law‑enforcement agencies.
Physical EffortRequires a physical fitness examination that includes running, jumping, sit‑ups, and push‑ups. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and firearms.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Obtained Pennsylvania Act 120 certification prior to appointment.
- Valid PA driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and firearms.
