Financial Reporting Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Accountant position with a well-established and growing business in Bradford.

You’ll join an established finance team and play a key role in the preparation of accurate financial information, month-end reporting and statutory accounts, while working closely with colleagues across this global business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone from an accountancy practice background, or a more technically minded accountant from industry, who wants to take ownership of a broad financial accounting role.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Preparing and reviewing monthly financial reporting
• Supporting month-end and year-end close
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
• Supporting statutory accounts and audit requirements
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Producing financial analysis and commentary
• Working with colleagues across the European finance function
• Supporting improvements to reporting, processes and controls
• Helping to ensure financial information is accurate, timely and commercially useful

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or finalist
• Experienced in accounts preparation and/or audit within practice
• Comfortable working with financial statements and month-end processes
• Strong technically, with good attention to detail
• Confident using Excel and accounting systems
• Keen to develop and build a long-term career in industry
