If you're someone who thrives on variety, enjoys helping people through complex situations, and takes pride in accurate administration, this role could be a great fit. Our Client is hiring forrole responsible forsmooth running of hearings and the user journey-face to face, by phone, and in writing.
What you'll be doing:- Confirm role details through careful vacancy management and administrative preparation
- Undertake customer service and administrative tasks to prepare for, facilitate, and conclude hearing activity
- Provide clear guidance to users and stakeholders using face to face, incoming/outbound calls, and responses to correspondence in different formats
- Use service scripts and knowledge articles to signpost the right support and give specific, consistent answers
- Follow complaints policies and procedures-supporting users through the process and responding promptly to prevent escalation
- Update OPTIC as required and maintain accurate case handling
- Identify risks relating to HMCTS buildings, alert the Senior Person on Site (SPoS) when needed, and act immediately where required
- Process work using standard operating procedures to meet performance targets and uphold operational/service standards
- Handle case files with accurate data entry, secure information management, and compliance with retention and data-loss protocols
- Manage jury service administration (selection, deferral, reassignment, attendance tracking) and process related expenses and court fees
- Assist with listing and scheduling, supporting urgent matters and adhering to listing policies
- Support enforcement procedures including financial assessments, fine collection assistance, and producing basic statistical/financial reports
- Contribute to health and safety operations (PEEPs, facility checks, issue logging, and key/safety governance under team leader guidance)
- Confidence communicating clearly with a wide range of people, including those with specific and potentially complex needs
- A strong attention to detail-especially when entering data, managing documents, and following secure procedures
- Calm, proactive problem-solving, particularly when dealing with complaints or time-sensitive activity
- A service mindset with the ability to follow policies and work to operational standards
- Willingness to support team activity across customer service, hearings administration, jury tasks, enforcement support and health & safety processes
You'll be expected to use contact methods effectively and keep records up to date to support accurate casework and reporting.
If you're successful in your application an Enhanced DBS will be required as part of the on-boarding checks with Brook Street.
