We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Risk Lead to join the Audit, Risk and Compliance team at Yorkshire Water. This is a crucial role to influence a sustainable business for our customers and the environment. Could this be you?

In this role, you’ll influence senior stakeholders, improve processes, and make a real impact across the business. • Maintain and enhance enterprise risk management frameworks, policies, and standards, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Oversee the quality and timely upkeep of the corporate risk register, supporting and influencing risk owners and champions across the organisation.
• Produce risk reports, dashboards, and insights for leadership and governance groups.
• Monitor and report on risk appetite alignment and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) trends.
• Lead effective use of GRC systems, promoting simplification and automation of risk processes.
• Facilitate risk identification through workshops, interviews, surveys, and tools to ensure accurate assessment of corporate risks.
• Apply and support technical risk methodologies to ensure robust and consistent risk assessments and mitigation plans.
• Ensure timely identification and escalation of emerging risks.
• Support development of risk treatment strategies aligned with risk appetite and track mitigation actions to ensure accountability.
• Lead incident‑related root cause analysis and lessons‑learned exercises, producing meaningful recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with audit, risk, compliance, and other teams (e.g., Technology GRC, Commercial Risk) to support enterprise‑wide risk alignment.
• Represent the organisation in risk committees, forums, and cross‑functional groups.
• Support the wider risk community with training, insight, and feedback.
• Share expertise and contribute to the development of colleagues within the audit, risk, and compliance team.
