Overview
We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond. We are recruiting for a Commercial Administrator to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Area and Region. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients and contributing to their AMP8 objectives.
Note: Due to a contract win we are looking for applicants all around the Yorkshire Regions.
Location and hours: Bradford, 40 hours per week, £28K - £30K.
Responsibilities- To efficiently apply for payments according to workload assigned by your line manager.
- Preparation of reports relating to applications completed or queried as required.
- Ensure all applications are submitted to the Client in a timely and professional manner in accordance with relevant contract stipulations advised by line manager.
- Review and process payment applications from subcontractors timely and accurately, while ensuring best value for Lanes is achieved.
- Raise purchase orders in line with current approval processes.
- Ensure rigorous management of queries.
- Identify and manage individual workload.
- Contribute to a culture of contractual awareness and development.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties, activities or projects as required or requested by management.
- Be aware of Lanes Group policies and responsibilities towards them.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment where attention to detail is crucial
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work in a team
- Advanced Excel skills essential
- Previous experience and knowledge of utilities
We are looking for a candidate who is looking to enhance their career within a Commercial environment. The role would be suited to a candidate who has strong advanced Excel skills and comes with a Financial background. If you have studied Quantity Surveying or have worked in a Commercial Department this would be advantageous.
