The OpportunityWe are looking to appoint a proactive, commercially minded and scientifically curious Business Development Manager to support continued growth across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career commercial professional with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical science, drug development or formulation technologies. The role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new opportunities and working closely with senior commercial leaders in a technical, science-led environment.
You will work closely with the Business Development Director and wider commercial team, supporting lead generation, client engagement, conference preparation, commercial analysis and new business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the pharmaceutical and biotech market
- Support lead generation and outreach activity to drive revenue growth
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Support the implementation of new business development initiatives
- Assist with preparation for international conferences and commercial events
- Conduct commercial analysis to support new product and market opportunities
- Contribute to licensing activity linked to the company’s internal product pipeline
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across commercial, technical and operational teams
- Support wider business development activity as required
The successful candidate will be resourceful, organised and self-motivated, with a genuine interest in pharmaceutical innovation and human health.
You will ideally bring:
- A background or strong understanding of pharmaceutical sciences, formulation, drug development or related technical areas
- Some experience in B2B sales, business development, account management or commercial support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship-building ability and a confident, professional approach
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A proactive, positive and flexible mindset
- The ability to learn complex technology and translate it into commercial value
- A willingness to support a growing international team
