Bradford is the fourth largest Metropolitan District in England and is currently experiencing an increase in construction activity. We are, therefore, able to offer a diverse and interesting career dealing with Building Regulations, Dangerous Structures and Safety at Sports Grounds, with a workload which is varied, wide ranging and challenging. Over recent years we have invested heavily in a career development structure and a programme of staff training in order to secure a sustainable future for our service.

We are currently seeking to recruit a fully qualified and experienced Building Control Surveyor to enter our career structure at the upper scales. You will therefore have a minimum of two years’ experience working at a professional, technical level for a Building Control Body, be a Associate/Corporate member of RICS, ABE, CIOB (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate that you meet all the relevant job competences.

Candidates should also be licensed with the Building Safety Regulator as a Registered Building Inspector (RBI) to Class 2A, progressing to Class 2F.
