Responsibilities- Help develop, check, and implement safe ways of working, including supporting audits.
- Assist with investigating accidents and incidents, finding causes, and helping prevent them in the future.
- Track and report on health and safety performance, and help create initiatives to improve it.
- Prepare and deliver safety talks and training to raise awareness of key health and safety topics.
- Take part in quarterly Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) committee meetings.
- 5 GCSEs level 4 - 9 including English and Maths.
- Willingness to work towards:
Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician EPA and NEBOSH National General Certificate. - Willingness to work towards TechIOSH membership (A Recognized health & safety qualification showing practical knowledge and competence in workplace safety).
- A positive attitude towards safe working, excellent IT skills, effective communication skills and the ability to follow procedures with a methodical approach.
- The ability to solve problems in a timely manner, and to stay calm in difficult situations.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
- To be self-driven and have an enthusiastic approach to work as well as the desire to succeed.
