Renal transplant patients are usually repatriated to Bradford at one week post-transplant. The consultants provide an on call service to support the inpatient ward and the dialysis units, and provide specialist renal input to other services within the Trust and at Airedale hospital.

The renal team also supports the management of general medical patients through taking responsibility for a number of general medical patients that are allocated to the renal ward following admission to MAU.
