We are looking for a salaried GP to join our team on a fixed term basis at Affinity Care. This post is for 6 sessions working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. There will also be an expectation to cover the home visiting team on a wednesday. As a GP with Affinity Care, you will be acting within your professional boundaries to support our communities.
You will provide care for patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. You will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making andexpert care, including assessment/diagnostic skills, for patients within
GP. You will work collaboratively with the Practice teamto meet patient needs, whilst supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.
You will assess, diagnose, plan,implement, and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis, both physiologically and psychologically.
Sometimes you will be working withchronic conditions, sometimes acute, but at all times you will be providing the highest standard of patient care, with a supportive team aroundyou, driving the best possible outcome.
Main duties of the jobYou will be a fully qualified and registered GP, having maintained your position on a performer's list, a memberof a recognised defence union (MPS/MDU) with a vocational training certificateor equivalent.
You will work with our patients to drive the best outcome, encouraging healthy lifestyles and positive self-carein line with evidence-based practice, national/practice protocols, andwithin the scope of practice.
You will abide by professional standards as regulated by the GMC and relevant legislation, NSF andNICE guidelines, and any other relevant bodies.
You will contribute to team discussions and constructively challenge, helping develop cohesive practice teams,sharing best practice and innovation.
Undertake learning and communicate withus about your needs and clinical interests; we want to build your capability and develop your passions.
Adhere to infection control SOPs, respect patients' and colleagues' innate dignity, and safeguard the vulnerable

They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meetthe needs of patients, whilst supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.
PersonSpecification Qualifications
- Qualified GP and full registration
- Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent (JCPTGP)
- Member of recognised defence union (MPS/MDU)
- Currently on performers' list
- Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners
- Never been removed from a performers' list
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent keyboard and computer skills.
- Understanding of clinical Governance and quality issues, as well as health and social policy.
- Competent in the use of GP clinical IT systems.
- Ability to listen and empathise.
- Good time management.
- Problem solving and a 'solutions-focused' approach.
- Sound clinical skills.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
