About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at The Education Network. The successful candidate will support students across various subjects, helping to create an inclusive, nurturing, and effective learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and have a desire to work alongside teachers to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with individual and group tasks, ensuring that learning objectives are met.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Provide tailored support to students with additional learning needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress and provide feedback where necessary.
- Support the classroom teacher with administrative tasks, including marking and record-keeping.
- Foster positive relationships with students to promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Previous experience working with secondary school students, particularly in a teaching assistant or similar role, is desirable but not essential.
- A strong passion for education and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with young people.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
