About the Role

Academics are currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Pastoral Supply Workers to support students in secondary schools across Bradford  on long-term supply placements.

This role involves supporting students' emotional, social, and behavioural needs, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide pastoral support to students, promoting wellbeing and positive behaviour

Support students with emotional, social, or behavioural challenges

Monitor and mentor students, ensuring they are engaged and supported in their learning

Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and school staff to implement support plans

Encourage positive relationships and promote a safe and inclusive school environment

Assist with lunchtime, break, and transition periods as needed

Requirements

Experience working with children and young people, ideally in a school setting

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively

Reliable, adaptable, and proactive

Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
