Directorate

The University of Bradford Library is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Senior Library Services Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy, forward looking and friendly university library team based on the Bradford University campus, a few minutes walk from the city centre in the J.B. Priestley Library. The library team has achieved Customer Service Excellence for the past 4 years.

What

You Will Be Doing
  • You will provide first-line library support, delivering a range of information, advice and support in using the facilities, services and learning environments of the library.
  • You will manage incoming enquiries via a range of channels and ensure these are dealt with effectively by the Library Services Assistants.
  • You will line manage and organise the workload of the Shelving Assistants.
Qualifications/ Experience
  • English and Maths CSE Grade 1 or GCSE grades 9,8,7,6,5,4 or grades A*, A, B, C
  • The ability to communicate effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and experience of working in a busy customer-oriented environment are essential for this role.
  • Experience of using a library management system.
