Reed Further Education (Reed FE) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Social Work to join our Health & Society team. In this part-time post, you'll play a vital role in shaping and developing future social work professionals through high-quality teaching, curriculum development, and academic support.
You will work across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, contributing to teaching delivery, programme enhancement, and the wider advancement of Social Work provision.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Teach across undergraduate and taught postgraduate Social Work and Social Care programmes.
- Contribute to ongoing programme development, module leadership and quality assurance.
- Support the management and coordination of programme activities.
- Provide academic guidance, constructive feedback and pastoral support to learners.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain high standards of delivery.
- Help foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment aligned with sector values and requirements.
We're looking for a committed professional who is passionate about Social Work education and student development. You should have:
- A first degree in a relevant discipline.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Ideally, a teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake one.
- A PhD/Professional Doctorate, or willingness to complete one within agreed timescales.
- A strong commitment to inclusive practice, academic excellence, and student success.
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years' referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
