About the role

Justteachers are working with a welcoming and forward‑thinking school in Bradford seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support LSA to join their staff team from September 2026
. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, promoting positive behaviour, and helping students overcome barriers to learning. You’ll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SEN professionals to create a safe, consistent, and supportive environment where every pupil can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
  • Assist in implementing individual behaviour plans and intervention strategies.
  • Promote positive behaviour and model appropriate conduct at all times.
  • Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to manage behaviour within the classroom.
  • Support pupils in regulating emotions, developing social skills, and accessing learning.
  • Help maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Record and report behaviour incidents in line with school policies.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and, where appropriate, parents/carers.
Pre-requisites
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or behaviour support setting.
  • Strong communication and de‑escalation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and solution‑focused in challenging situations.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided).
  • A positive, resilient attitude and willingness to take initiative.
  • Commitment to supporting students’ wellbeing, progress, and personal development.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; additional relevant training is desirable.
