Art Teacher

About the role

justteachers is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Bradford. This is an immediate start position running until the end of the summer term, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Art lessons that engage and challenge students
• Teach across KS3 and KS4, following the school’s curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support students in developing practical skills, creativity, and confidence
• Mark work, provide constructive feedback, and track pupil progress
• Contribute to the wider Art department, including displays and extracurricular activities
• Maintain excellent behaviour management in line with school policies
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Art in a UK secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the creative arts
• Ability to plan engaging lessons and differentiate for a range of abilities
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Two School based references
