Position: Attendance Officer (Fixed Term)

Join Park Aspire Alternative Provision Academy and Help Young People Rebuild, Grow, and Succeed

We are looking for an Attendance Officer to support pupils who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education.

Responsibilities
  • Understand the needs of children and their families
  • Be effective in motivating and inspiring children
  • Monitor and track daily pupil attendance using the schools MIS (Arbor)
  • Follow up on absences through calls, messages and home visits as necessary
  • Produce regular attendance reports and analyse data to identify trends, patterns and causes for concern
  • Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team and Headteacher to implement attendance strategies
  • Have an understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection requirements
  • Have excellent administration skills
  • Hold a full driving licence and access to own vehicle (desirable, not essential)
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities
  • Experience working with young people with SEND or behavioural needs is an advantage
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection legislation
