Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Justteachers are working in collaboration with a secondary school in Bradford is seeking a dedicated and resilient behavior’s specialist Teaching Assistant to join their onsite provision from September 2026. This full‑time role focuses on supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), with a particular emphasis on behavioural support.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young people who require tailored interventions and consistent support to thrive in their education.

• Support students with behavioural needs in a structured and nurturing environment
• Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement effective support
• Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress
• Monitor and record student behaviour and progress
• Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment

• Experience working with young people with SEND, particularly behavioural needs
• Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent in challenging situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Team Teach or equivalent) desirable
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
