English Teacher

About the role:

Justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Bradford who are seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time role for the full academic year, teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The school is happy to consider ECTs as well as experienced teachers, offering strong departmental support and opportunities for professional development.

• Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
  .
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school staff.
• Participate in departmental meetings, CPD activities, and whole-school initiatives.
• Contribute to exam preparation and attainment strategies.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential).
• Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English teaching.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
