Humanities Teacher; Geography

About the role:

Justteachers are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Humanities
, ideally with a specialism in Geography
, to join our secondary school from September 2026
. This is a full-time position suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about delivering high-quality humanities education and inspiring young people.

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Humanities lessons, with a focus on Geography
• Teach across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 opportunities where appropriate)
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school policies
• Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities department
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Support and uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement
• Participate fully in departmental meetings, CPD and whole-school activities
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil outcomes and wellbeing

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in Geography or a related Humanities subject
• Ability to teach Geography confidently at KS3 and KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities education
• Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate, challenge and inspire students of all abilities
• Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
