Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Rate: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

About the School

Are you a patient, dedicated and nurturing Learning Support Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are working with a specialist primary school in Bradford that supports pupils with a range of complex learning, social, emotional and mental‑health needs. The school provides a safe, structured and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience and positive learning behaviours.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will

Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with SEND or SEMH needs.
Assist with differentiated learning and help pupils engage with tailored lesson activities.
Support emotional regulation using calm, consistent and trauma‑informed approaches.
Implement behaviour support plans and encourage positive routines and relationships.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and parents/carers to ensure holistic support.
Promote independence and celebrate progress in academic, social and emotional development.

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting children in a school, care or SEND setting.
Understanding of SEND or SEMH needs and a willingness to learn new strategies.
Calm, empathetic and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable learners.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
Adaptability and confidence working in a fast‑paced, varied environment.

To be eligible, you must

Hold Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
Provide two professional, child‑related references.
