English Maths and Science Tutor

Overview

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for tutors in Bradford. At Prospero, we work with local authorities to arrange 1:1 tuition for students accessing alternative provision.

What will you be tutoring?
The vast majority of our tuition referrals are for English and Maths. A lot of our students are working below expected age range, and the delivery of learning will be at a KS1-KS3 level.

  12 hours per week - 3 hours every morning (except Wednesdays)
• Pay: GBP 20 - GBP 30 per hour.

The Role

English and Maths tuition for a Year 10 student working below ARE. Expected delivery of knowledge: KS2- KS3. Student has SEN status of ADHD and ASD. Experience with in this area is desired.

When/where will you be tutoring?

Our tuitions can be held in a number of places:

• Within schools
• Within public places
• Within students  homes

There will always be an appropriate adult present for your tuition sessions. This will be the student s parent, carer, or guardian, meaning you ll never be left alone with a student.
Our tuitions take place within school hours, 9am-4pm, and our clients are very flexible on timings. When a role becomes available, we will come to you as the tutor to set timings for when you d like to take on the hours. What qualifications do you need?

With our tuition roles, you do not need to be a qualified teacher. We usually ask that you have some form of higher education. We d also expect candidates to have some prior experience within education; at least 4 months working in a school or educational setting. This could be as a teacher, teaching assistant, or in a pastoral or support role.

Work through compliance to ensure we have all your required documents and vetting checks complete.

Get started within a role.

Our registration process ensures that we are following safer recruitment guidelines and safeguarding the students that we work with.

Minimum requirement documents

• Hold Right to Work within the UK (as a recruitment agency, we cannot register people with Sponsorship Visas).
• An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (recommended but not required, as you can apply for a DBS through us).
• References covering 2 years (a full 24 months) of employment, as well as references for any work you ve had with children or vulnerable adults within the last two years.
