English and Maths Tutor

Overview

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for tutors in Bradford. At Prospero, we work with local authorities to arrange 1:1 tuition for students accessing alternative provision.

• Provide English and Maths tuition, primarily for students working below the expected age range, at a KS1–KS3 level with a focus on KS2–KS3 knowledge transfer for a Year 10 student.
• Deliver tutoring sessions in line with the role details (location, start date, end date, and hours).
• Conduct sessions in suitable locations (see below) with an appropriate adult present at all times.

  30 per hour.

English and Maths tuition for a Year 10 student working below ARE. Expected delivery of knowledge: KS2–KS3. Experience with SEN students desired.

• Tuitions can be held in several locations: within schools, within public places, within students homes.
• At all locations, there will always be an appropriate adult present (the student’s parent, carer, or guardian).
• Tuitions occur within school hours (9am–4pm); timings are flexible and will be set in coordination with the tutor once a role is available.

With these tuition roles, you do not need to be a qualified teacher. Usually, some form of higher education is expected. Candidates should also have prior experience in education (at least 4 months in a school or educational setting), such as a teacher, teaching assistant, or in a pastoral or support role.
