Primary Teacher

At Lift Feversham we’re proud of our strong roots in the community and our drive to provide every child with the highest quality education. We are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher (KS1 or KS2) to join our team and help us to continue to deliver outstanding results. We are open to applicants with experience across any key stage.

We are looking for a teacher who:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has recent or relevant experience teaching and a PGCE.
  • Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, including the teaching of phonics (preferably using a systematic synthetic phonics scheme).
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice, with a nurturing approach that supports young learners’ academic and personal growth.
  • Is skilled at planning creative, engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons that build foundational skills and spark curiosity.
  • Uses formative assessment effectively to track progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs. Is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment, with high expectations for all children, including those with SEND or EAL.
  • Works well as part of a team, communicates effectively with colleagues and parents, and contributes to the wider school community.
  • Is reflective, committed to continuous improvement, and keen to engage in professional development.
  • Creative hobbies, skills or specialisms are advantageous.

Contract and Salary

Contract Type: 1 year (fixed term until 31st Aug 2027)

Salary: M1‑6 + Wellbeing Cash Plan + Pension Scheme (LGPS/TPS) + Additional Benefits
