Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for children's wellbeing, behaviour, equality and attendance. The role will involve establishing relationships with learners and families and ensuring that the school's inclusive values are reflected in daily practice. Some of our learners are involved in high risk-taking activities such as substance misuse, going missing, vulnerability to exploitation and more. They may lead chaotic lifestyles or suffer from neglect, all forms of abuse and witness domestic violence and family turbulence.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop inclusive practice across the school, promoting equality, diversity and access to learning for all
- Respond to the day-to-day implementation of the school's Behaviour Policy and support learners with their learning in the classroom
- Establish productive and positive working relationships with learners, acting as a role model that promotes positive values and attitudes
- Provide informal support for crisis and trauma, including signposting or referring to specialised services
