Teacher Active is proud to be working with a welcoming Alternative Provision in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant. The setting supports mixed-age learners with a range of SEND needs and is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Learning Support Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to students with a range of SEND needs, helping to promote engagement, confidence and positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
• Experience working with pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD and ADHD
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• A flexible and proactive attitude
