About the role

Justteachers is seeking a Full-Time Autism Support Assistant to join a vibrant specialist school starting September 2026 in the Bradford area on a long‑term basis. This welcoming and inclusive setting is dedicated to supporting pupils with autism, promoting independence, and creating a nurturing, structured environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism
Supporting students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs who may be non‑verbal
Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Support pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
Work closely with teaching staff and therapists to deliver tailored learning strategies
Foster a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment

Pre‑requisites

Relevant qualifications in education, childcare or special educational needs
Proven experience supporting children, young people or adults with autism or additional needs
Strong knowledge of support strategies for autism and behaviour management techniques
2 education or school‑based references from within the last 2 years
