Teacher Active is proud to be working with a welcoming specialist school in Bradford that supports pupils across all Key Stages with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), autism, and complex behavioural needs. The school is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.

The school is looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Worker for either long-term or day-to-day work starting in September. The successful Behaviour Support Worker will provide both 1:1 and classroom support, helping pupils to regulate their behaviour, engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes, while confidently carrying out personal care and manual handling where required.

The successful Behaviour Support Worker will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs, SEMH or additional needs

• Confidence providing personal care and manual handling support

• Experience working on a 1:1 basis and within a classroom environment

• The ability to build positive relationships and effectively manage challenging behaviour

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A calm, patient and resilient approach
