Teacher of Spanish

About the role:

Justteachers are working on behalf of a Bradford secondary school to appoint a Teacher of Spanish to start in September 2026 on a long‑term basis.

The successful Teacher of Spanish will have a good, up‑to‑date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them, including how to personalise learning to provide opportunities for all learners to achieve their potential. The Teacher of Spanish will have secure subject knowledge and understanding of the Spanish curriculum and related pedagogy.

• Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons to KS4 that build vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in line with curriculum requirements.
• Use a range of teaching strategies (e.g., modelling, scaffolding, target‑language immersion, retrieval practice) to support diverse learners.
• Set high expectations for behaviour, participation, and linguistic accuracy.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of SEND, EAL, and high‑attaining students.
• Promote active use of the target language, encouraging students to speak Spanish confidently and spontaneously.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in Spanish
• Experience teaching to KS4
