The Early Childhood Coordinator provides district-level leadership for preschool instructional quality, regulatory compliance, assessment systems, and program operations. The position exercises independent judgment in interpreting state regulations, administering district early childhood systems, evaluating instructional practices, recommending program improvements, and coordinating operational functions that support the district's early childhood program.

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, or closely related field
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in licensed early childhood programs
• Current Large Center Director Certification from the Colorado Department of Early Childhood
• Reliable Transportation
• Employee must complete a fingerprint-based criminal background check and must be cleared by the Office of Human Resources
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary

• Experience working in Early Childhood within Pueblo School District 60
• Demonstrated expertise in Colorado Early Childhood Licensing requirements
• Demonstrated expertise administering TS Gold
• Experience providing instructional coaching, mentoring, or evaluating early childhood educators
• Experience analyzing student assessment data to guide instructional improvement

• Expert level operating knowledge of the TS Gold assessment system, including backend data cleaning, archiving, and reporting
• Deep knowledge of State Child Care Licensing, Department of Health, and Fire Department codes for early childhood facilities
• Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret baseline and checkpoint assessment data to drive district and classroom level growth
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust and navigate collaborative partnerships with parents, students, early childhood educators, administrators, and other district staff.
• Knowledge and understanding in observation/feedback experience and training
• Knowledge of positive behavioral interventions and support
• Knowledge of and ability to create and implement student behavior expectations

• Serve as a district resource for instructional quality in assigned preschool classrooms by observing and analyzing instructional practices, identifying areas for improvement, provide professional consultation including modeling best practices, and monitoring the implementation of instructional expectations
• Lead and facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) for assigned classrooms, aligning Early Childhood Educator collaboration with District student achievement goals
