EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Bradford
Start: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent placement)
Milk Education is recruiting a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary school in Bradford from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Career Teacher, or someone with relevant childcare experience who is passionate about supporting young children during their early years of education.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport children across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with their learning and development.
Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
Support children's communication, language, physical, social and emotional development.
Encourage children's independence, confidence and curiosity through play-based learning.
Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
Support positive behaviour and help children develop social skills and emotional regulation.
Observe children's progress and contribute to their individual learning and development.
Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents/carers.
Support classroom routines, including transitions, lunchtime and outdoor learning.
Caring, patient and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for working with young children.
Previous experience working within EYFS, nursery or primary settings is desirable.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Creative and confident in supporting play-based learning.
Able to build positive relationships with young children.
Flexible, proactive and able to adapt to individual children's needs.
A relevant childcare qualification or experience is advantageous but not essential.
Available to work full-time from September 2026
