We are currently recruiting compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work with pupils who require additional support, both on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
About the RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD & SLD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Complex and additional learning needs
You will play an important role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, develop social skills, and achieve their individual goals within a nurturing primary school environment.
The Ideal CandidateWe welcome applications from candidates who:
- Have experience supporting children with SEND in a school, nursery, care, or youth work setting
- Are passionate about supporting children with additional needs
- Are patient, caring, and resilient
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Are proactive, adaptable, and keen to learn
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience working with children through coaching, youth groups, theatre, mentoring, or other community settings is also highly valued.
