Contract: Full-time, long-term until Christmas (with potential to extend)
Milk Education is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a Specialist SEND Primary School in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Key Stage 1 pupils in a nurturing and inclusive setting, supporting children with a range of additional needs.
The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about creating engaging, personalised learning experiences and supporting every pupil to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of Key Stage 1 pupils.
- Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
- Adapt the curriculum to meet a range of SEND needs and abilities.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other professionals to provide effective support.
- Support pupils' communication, independence, social and emotional development.
- Monitor pupil progress and celebrate individual achievements.
- Promote positive behaviour using patient and consistent approaches.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families and the wider school team.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 1 or Primary-aged pupils.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND is desirable.
- Strong understanding of inclusive and differentiated teaching practices.
- Patient, adaptable and resilient.
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- SEN qualifications or specialist training are advantageous but not essential.
- Full-time, long-term role until Christmas.
- Potential for the role to be extended beyond the initial contract.
