Academics are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Food Technology teacher or a skilled food professional with teaching experience who is passionate about inspiring students and helping them develop practical and theoretical skills.

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, supporting students to develop their knowledge, practical skills and understanding of food, nutrition and preparation.

• Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons
• Deliver engaging practical and theory-based sessions
• Support students to develop their culinary and food preparation skills
• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Assess and monitor student progress
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance
• Ensure appropriate health and safety standards are maintained during practical sessions
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Relevant qualifications and/or professional experience in Food Technology, Catering or a related subject
• Previous teaching or training experience is desirable
• Strong practical knowledge of food preparation, nutrition and food safety
• A passion for education and developing students' skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to engage and motivate learners
• A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
