About the role:
Justteachers are working with a mainstream Primary School to appoint a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in their Provision on a full-time basis to start in September 2026.
The school are committed to nurturing the academic and personal development of every student. With a strong emphasis on wellbeing, respect, and resilience they strive to create a safe and supportive environment where all learners can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:- Support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Assist with planning and delivering targeted interventions
- Provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage challenging behaviour in class
- Experience working with SEMH
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for education and child development
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Two school-based references
