Lead a Department. Shape a Curriculum. Change Outcomes.

Curriculum Leader of English - Bradford Secondary School

Not every leadership role is about maintaining the status quo.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious English specialist to take ownership of a department, influence teaching and learning, and help shape the future of English within a diverse and vibrant secondary school in Bradford.

The school is well led, has clear direction from senior leadership, and is committed to continuous improvement. Like many inner-city schools, there are behavioural challenges, but you'll have the backing of a supportive leadership team and colleagues who are committed to getting the best from every student.

We're looking for a leader who can inspire staff, drive standards, and create a culture where students engage with English and achieve beyond expectations.

What you'll be doing:

Leading and developing the English department
Driving improvements in teaching, learning and achievement
Coaching and supporting colleagues
Developing an engaging and ambitious curriculum
Maintaining a clear vision and high expectations for all learners

You'll be:

An outstanding classroom practitioner
An existing middle leader or an ambitious teacher ready for the next step
Resilient, positive and solutions-focused
Passionate about improving outcomes for young people

If you're ready to leave your mark on a department and lead meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you
