Salary: £50,000 - £62,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

An established engineering business operating within industrial automation and bespoke machinery is seeking a Senior Controls Software Engineer to join its growing team. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to commissioning and mentoring junior colleagues along the way.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and commissioning control systems for a variety of automated machinery and industrial applications.

• Interpret and work from electrical schematics
• Design and write PLC, HMI, and SCADA software from scratch
• Lead commissioning activities on machinery and automated systems
• Travel to customer sites across the UK, with potential for international travel
• Provide technical leadership and support to junior engineers
• Ensure projects are delivered to specification, on time, and to a high standard

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a controls or automation engineering role
• Strong PLC programming experience with one or more of the following:
• Siemens
• Allen Bradley
• Omron
• Mitsubishi
• Exposure to HMI and SCADA system design
• Experience across a range of industrial sectors (flexible background considered)
• Willingness to travel for commissioning activities
• Clean UK driving licence
