Role Summary

As Technical Director, you will lead the engineering design of complex maritime infrastructure, oversee a growing team, and provide technical direction and structural design oversight across ports, defence, transport, and energy sectors.

• Lead engineering design of complex maritime infrastructure projects, ensuring high standards of safety, sustainability, and constructability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs and project specifications.
• Interact with stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies to advocate for sustainable practices and quality assurance.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards, regulations, and best practices.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience with a focus on maritime projects and NSQEP standards.
• Demonstrated experience in design, analysis, and remediation of maritime structures.
• Experience managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements.
• Experience in multi‑disciplinary project environments with a focus on ports, defence, or safety‑critical work.
• Chartered Engineer status or professional membership in a relevant engineering body.
• Australian citizenship required; prior or current defence clearance highly regarded.
