We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our dedicated team in the Highway Development Control section on a 3‑year fixed‑term contract. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.
Responsibilities- Provide expertise in highway development control matters within the Authority.
- Apply knowledge of highway design standards, techniques and codes of practice along with experience in the design and construction of new highways to make recommendations and give guidance and professional advice when assessing the highway implications and impacts of development proposals, including negotiating highway benefits where appropriate.
- Formulate the highway input to reports on planning applications for use at the Area Planning Panel and support and advise the elected Members of the Council as the accountable representatives of the public, and assist in servicing the Area Planning Panels.
