Aspion Search is proud to represent a steel construction company in their search for aSenior Structural Design Engineer to join their design team due to a continued pipeline of high profile, technically demanding projects.

• Known for delivering complex steel structures across major UK sectors from infrastructure to commercial development

They are looking to strengthen their design team with a Senior Structural Design Engineer to take on high profile and complex structural projects.

• Deliver high quality structural designs for steel frameworks and complex connections
• Conduct manual and software-based calculations to British and Eurocode standards
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients throughout project life cycles
• Maintain effective client relationships to support repeat business and referrals
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Attend design meetings and contribute to technical discussions

• Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (ideally working toward Chartered status)
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in UK based structural steel design
• Previous experience with a UK based steelwork fabricator
• Proven experience in steelwork frame and connection design
• Proficient in Tekla Structural Designer, Master series, S-Frame, IDEA Stati Ca
• Knowledge of British and European design standards
• Confident producing both manual and software-based calculations
• Experience in temporary works design (desirable)
